
TNA Impact Spoilers for Jan. 21: Flair and AJ Styles Talk Partnership
TNA Wrestling was back in action less than 24 hours after wrapping their Genesis PPV to tape the January 21 episode of Impact.
Hernandez and Matt Morgan defeated The British Invasion to retain their newly won TNA Tag Team Titles.
After the match, Mick Foley made his return to television and attacked Rob Terry.
In the next segment, Ric Flair came out to the ring and said that while he hates Hulk Hogan, he loves TNA. Saying that he was in the company to find the next “Nature Boy” Flair brought out AJ Styles who was dressed in a suit and accompanied by a valet. Styles then cut a promo a la Flair.
Hulk Hogan and Kurt Angle had the ring to themselves for the next segment. Hogan gives Angle another title shot at Styles because “it’s his show.” The title match will take place tonight.
Orlando Jordan defeated “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero in the next match.
The returning Angelina Love defeated Madison Rayne in a Knockouts match. Post match, Love continued to pound on her until Velvet Sky and Lacey Von Erich ran out to make the save.
Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff to confront the band. Hogan informs them that because they don’t have contracts, they don’t work for TNA and has them escorted out of the building by security.
The Nasty Boys defeated Kevin Nash and Eric Young.
Mr. Anderson makes his TNA Impact debut and talks about his victory at Genesis until Abyss attacks him.
AJ Styles retained the TNA Title by defeating Kurt Angle. It was a reenactment of “The Montreal Screwjob” right down down Earl Hebner screwing over Angle. Hulk Hogan came out after the match and Angle spit on him before throwing a temper tantrum.
Eric Bischoff appeared with blood running down his forehead and announced that Mick Foley was fired.
